What is Moms in Community?

"Moms in Community" is a vibrant group that brings together moms from various stages of motherhood, ranging from expectant moms to those with early elementary-aged children. The primary objective of this group is to foster connections and provide a supportive network for women within the community, encouraging them to bond, share experiences, and have fun together.

The group's atmosphere encourages moms to forge lasting friendships and create cherished memories. Moms in Community believes that motherhood is a journey best traveled with companions who understand the unique joys and struggles it brings. By nurturing an environment of support, love, and authenticity, this group aims to empower moms, enabling them to thrive and find fulfillment in both their individual identities and their roles as mothers.

Ultimately, Moms in Community serves as a pathway for moms seeking connection and a sense of belonging in the midst of their busy lives. It is a place where they can find solace, share laughter, and celebrate the beautiful journey of motherhood together.

Be Known. Be Loved. Be You.

Following in the footsteps of Jesus, our motto is to "Be known, Be loved, Be you," Moms in Community emphasizes the importance of creating a safe space where every mom can truly be herself, embraced with open arms. This group aims to build a community where women can freely express their joys, concerns, and challenges of motherhood, knowing they will be heard and supported.

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."

This passage reminds us that we are known and loved by God and encourages us to embrace our unique identity and purpose. It affirms that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, celebrating the individuality and worth that each person possesses.

Who Can Come?

Expectant moms to those with children through 3rd grade are welcome. While childcare is not provided, moms may bring babies with them who are up to six months old (exceptions may apply). This group serves moms from all nearby areas including Auburn, Black Diamond, Covington, Enumclaw, Kent, Maple Valley, and Ravensdale.

What To Expect

Meetings are held twice per month and include practical teaching from speakers, table discussions, activities, fun, and connection. Most importantly, you’ll get to have honest (uninterrupted) conversations with other moms who are in the same stage of life and understand the joys and frustrations of navigating motherhood throughout these years. The group also organizes a wide range of activities and events that cater to different interests and needs. These activities might include playdates for the children, coffee chats, self-care sessions, or moms-night-out to local attractions. Moms in Community believes in the power of shared experiences and aims to create opportunities for genuine connections to form, ensuring that every mom feels seen, understood, and valued.
