Recognizing Jesus | Before the Cross
Mar 15, 2026 • Mike Ferrulli
As we begin our journey toward Easter, Gospel of John 12 invites us to wrestle with a simple but searching question: Do we truly recognize Jesus for who He is? In the same room, Mary saw a Savior worthy of extravagant devotion, while Judas only saw a waste of resources. Same moment. Same Jesus. Different hearts.
This message challenges us to examine how familiarity, calculation, or guarded faith can keep us near Jesus without truly seeing His worth. When we recognize who He really is, worship stops feeling excessive and surrender starts to make sense.
Before we arrive at the cross, we’re invited to see Jesus clearly—and respond with the devotion He deserves.
