As a church, we partner with other nonprofits doing great work and send missionaries to countries many will never see – we also empower dozens of people in our church to engage the needs and opportunities they encounter in their everyday lives.
We currently support these organizations financially, with in-kind donations, or with volunteer hours.
Local
American Red Cross
The American Red Cross has been dedicated to serving people in need since 1881. The Red Cross developed the first nationwide civilian blood program in the 1940s and still provides more than 40% of the blood products in this country. Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood, and to help support such a huge need, Lake Sawyer hosts blood drives a few times a year.
Black Diamond Community Center
The Black Diamond Community Center provides social, recreational, and emergency services to residents of the greater Black Diamond area. In addition to financial support, we host food and supply drives, and have provided volunteer hours with various improvement projects.
Black Diamond Elementary School
We believe partnerships between churches and schools are a natural progression toward meaningful community engagement and ultimately a glimpse into the kingdom of God. It has been an honor to support Black Diamond Elementary on such projects as the Backpack Program, helping struggling readers, and providing winter clothes to benefit students.
Footprints of Fight
Footprints of Fight is dedicated to providing services for the family and patient of pediatric cancer in Washington while going through the treatment process. The purpose of these services is to reduce the family’s stress of everyday life through which increased levels of courage, optimism, strength, and resiliency will form to help the family conquer cancer in present and future.
Global
Missions of Hope International
Missions of Hope International exists to serve children and families in disadvantaged communities throughout Kenya through holistic ministry.
Pioneer Bible Translators
Pioneer Bible Translators exists to disciple the Bibleless, mobilizing God’s people to provide enduring access to God’s Word. Their vision is to see transformed lives through God’s Word in every language. Their work is not finished until there are networks of churches using Scripture to grow, mature and multiply in every language group on Earth.
Stadia Church Planting
Stadia’s mission is to plant churches that intentionally care for children. Why? Because as more churches close their doors, fewer people are experiencing the life-changing hope of Jesus. Stadia prepares leaders to start healthy churches that intentionally reach the next generation of believers, spreading the hope of Jesus farther than ever before.
World Vision
World Vision is an international partnership of Christians whose mission is to follow our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in working with the poor and oppressed to promote human transformation, seek justice, and bear witness to the good news of the Kingdom of God. Lake Sawyer Church has partnered with World Vision in various projects such as the 30-Hour Famine, child sponsorships, disaster relief, education, and the Global 6K for Water.
