Hi Parents!
We have exciting news from our Kids and Student Ministry teams!
We are constantly thinking about how to best help our teens and kids find and follow Jesus. With that, we are passionate about creating intentional environments for them to connect relationally, learn more about Jesus and experience His love for them.
On March 31st we are making a shift in the grade structure to better align with our school districts and their peer groups. This new grade structure primarily affects kindergarten and 6th grade.
Below is our new age/grade structure:
LAKE SAWYER KIDS
Birth – 2 years old | Nursery & Toddlers
3 – 5 years old | Preschool
Kindergarten – 5th grade | Kids (Kindergarten will move up to Modular 3 on March 31)
LAKE SAWYER STUDENTS
6th – 8th Grade | Middle School (Meets Sunday morning starting March 31 at 10:45 am in Modular 4)
9th – 12th Grade | High School (Continues meeting Sunday night at 6pm in the Event Center)
Our new middle school structure will replace Hangtime & Explore. Current 8th graders can continue attending high school youth group as they will become 9th graders in June, however we do encourage 8th graders to attend the middle school program as well.
High schoolers are invited to attend our main service, and are also highly encouraged to volunteer on Sunday morning!
We couldn’t be more excited for this to launch on March 31 as we believe this will have a huge impact on our kids and students as we continue to invest in them and point them to Jesus. It is an incredible honor for us to serve your family and partner with you on your child’s faith journey! If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to one of us.
Sincerely,
Treacy Walsh, Student Ministries Pastor
